What we do
We create and deliver heritage based educational projects in schools, museums, arts and community settings. Our projects provide meaningful learning and engagement activities for a wide range of people from students and young adults seeking new skills to older people with memories to share.Projects are usually split into three stages, as follows:-
- research of heritage theme and provision of training in Oral History interviewing, archive research and arts / media production skills
- gathering of oral histories (through film or audio recording)
- creative interpretation and production of learning materials through print or digital media, museum exhibitions, live performance or cultural events.
Our Social Objectives
We are a community interest company, which means we exist for the benefit of the communities we serve and our activities are 'not for profit'. Our mission is to create projects which:-- enable specific communities to explore their own heritage, or learn about social history which is pertinent and relevant to them
- promote social cohesion, and encourage respect, integration and understanding between different groups
- provide education, training and personal development opportunities for participants
